Remote Learning-5th & 6th Class, 8th-15th Feb

Dear Parents & Pupils

It is hard to believe that we are starting our second week of February next week and our fifth week of remote learning but hopefully this means we are closer to returning to school and returning to something that resembles ‘normality.’ A plan of work for 8th to 12th Feb in daily timetable format has now been emailed to you. As always please do what you can and reduce or extend your child’s work to ensure it is suitable for their needs and ability.

There will be another two Zoom classes next week, one on Tuesday 9th February for Irish and the other on Thursday 11th February for English debating & novel discussion at 2.15pm on both days. As always the final part of each Zoom class will be set aside for Questions & Answers the pupils may have on any of their work. Can I please ask if possible to encourage your child to attend the Debating class on Thursday 11th. This is a new venture for us all and I would love if most of the pupils got involved.

Thank you very much for the wonderful level of engagement with Seesaw this past week. The children are working extremely hard and are making me very proud. Reminder: Please make sure pictures of written work are clear for me to be able to correct.

As always if you have any questions, queries or feedback, don’t hesitate to contact me on my email address.

In the event that some pupils are getting through their school work and the activities on Seesaw quickly a list of extension activities have also been sent by email in all subject areas.

By now you will have received your appointment for Parent Teacher Meetings and so I look forward to speaking with all parents over the next few weeks.

Have a lovely weekend everyone and stay safe.

Mrs Campbell
