It has been a great start to the year in 3rd and 4th class. The children have been busy in all subjects.
In Maths, we have revised addition and subtraction and learned all about collecting data and representing data. We have also started to explore multiplication and division, and dived into the world of fractions.
The children have been working hard at their Irish verbs and have really started to grasp the rules behind them.
We learned all about the Egyptians and rocketed into space as we explored the planets.
The children really enjoyed completing their group projects and were excited to share their findings with their classmates.
Our writing skills were put to the text when we looked at recount writing and report writing, and I can definitely see some potential journalists among us.
In science we investigated the importance of the footprint and its relationship to ones height. We also learned about how it is used in crime investigations.
We did printing for Halloween art and played spooktacular games.
The children should be very proud of all their hard work this term!
